I grew up on a farm in southern Iowa before coming to Des Moines to study at Faith Baptist Seminary. Megan and I were married while in seminary, and God has blessed us with five children. Over the past nine years of shepherding, I have grown to love this city and this congregation.

I am passionate about helping people apply God’s Word to everyday life through faithful expository preaching.

In my free time, I enjoy playing pickleball and reading historical biographies.

I thank the Lord for leading us here to Fellowship! God has given me a burden for families. I am a father of eight children (and one in heaven). Two of my kids have double disabilities in sight and hearing. I understand the struggles of life but have also tasted that the Lord is good!

​I am passionate about equipping families with the tools to fulfill their God given purpose and build homes full of joy, love, and worship. Come to Fellowship and taste the goodness of the Lord with us!
